Terms & Conditions

Are lessons one-on-one? Yes. All lessons are taught one-on-one. We do not currently offer group lessons, allowing each student to receive individual attention and have their lessons tailored to their specific needs, goals and progress.
What curriculum do you teach? We offer several learning pathways depending on the student's goals and interests.
Students can work towards recognised music examinations, including AMEB and Rockschool pathways for Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitar.
We also offer informal lessons focused on learning songs, developing technique and building overall confidence on the instrument. For more advanced students, lessons can include techniques such as Tapping, Sweeping, Thumping and other advanced guitar techniques.
Sight-reading is also available, using resources such as Mel Bay's Modern Guitar Method.
How do you accept payment? Payment can be made via bank transfer. Lesson fees are paid in advance according to the selected lesson package.
What if I can't make it to a lesson? If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible. We understand that sometimes this is not possible, so please let us know as soon as you can. Make-up lessons may be arranged at a mutually convenient time, subject to availability and our make-up lesson policy.

Terms of Service

1. Trial Lessons
We offer a one-time 30-minute trial lesson before commencing regular paid lessons.
The trial provides an opportunity for the student to meet the instructor, ask questions and determine whether the lessons and teaching style are suitable.
Only one trial lesson is available per potential student and is non-transferable.
If a trial lesson is missed without notice, a second trial lesson may be provided at the regular lesson rate.
2. Lesson Information & Requirements
Students may be required to purchase learning materials, such as music books or supplementary resources, separately from lesson fees. Students must have access to a suitable guitar or instrument before commencing lessons. If you are unsure about which instrument to purchase, we recommend discussing your options with the instructor.
As lessons are conducted online, students will also need a suitable device, a reliable internet connection and access to Zoom. We do not offer once-off lessons and reserve the right to refuse or discontinue lessons where necessary.
For younger students, parents or guardians are asked to avoid giving instructions to the student during the lesson, as this can cause confusion and interfere with the learning process.
3. Payment Terms
Lessons are billed in blocks of 4 or 12 lessons, with payment required in advance before lessons commence.
Payment is made via bank transfer. Please include the student's full name as the payment reference.
If payment has not been received by the scheduled start date, lessons may be suspended until payment is received.
Evolved Online Guitar Lessons reserves the right to adjust lesson fees with reasonable prior notice.
4. Public & School Holidays
Lessons generally continue throughout school holidays unless otherwise arranged.
There will be an end-of-year break, generally from approximately 20 December to 20 January.
If you plan to take an extended break from lessons, please provide reasonable notice and an expected return date.
If a lesson falls on a public holiday, the lesson will be rescheduled where possible. No refund will be provided solely because a lesson falls on a public holiday.
5. Make-Up Lessons
If a student misses a lesson and provides the required notice, a make-up lesson may be arranged at a mutually convenient time, subject to availability.
Make-up lessons must be completed within the applicable period agreed upon with the instructor. If a make-up lesson is not completed within this period, it may be considered forfeited.
Lessons will not automatically be moved forward because of an absence, and scheduled payments will remain due according to the agreed payment schedule.
A maximum of four make-up lessons per student per term may be permitted.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged as a completed lesson.
If the instructor is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled.
6. Absences & Lateness
If a student arrives late to an online lesson, the lesson will still finish at the originally scheduled time and the missed time will not be added to the end of the lesson.
The full lesson fee remains payable for late arrivals.
If a student misses a lesson without providing at least 24 hours' notice, the lesson may be charged as attended.
If a student takes an extended break from lessons, a return date should be provided where possible. Lesson times cannot be guaranteed to remain available during an unpaid break.
7. Termination
If a student decides to discontinue lessons due to unforeseen circumstances, such as personal circumstances or dissatisfaction, any refund for unused lessons will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
No refund will be provided for lessons that have already taken place.
Any outstanding make-up lessons should be completed before or around the time lessons are terminated. Unused make-up lessons may not be refundable.
Evolved Online Guitar Lessons also reserves the right to discontinue lessons where necessary, including circumstances involving inappropriate behaviour, safety concerns, repeated disruptions or disrespect towards the instructor.
8. Liability & Online Lessons
Lessons are conducted online via video conferencing.
Students are responsible for ensuring that their own equipment, including their guitar, computer, phone, tablet, internet connection and other equipment, is suitable and safely maintained.
Evolved Online Guitar Lessons accepts no responsibility for damage, injury or loss resulting from the use of a student's personal equipment or environment during an online lesson.
